Coordinate System
SWIFT 10 MC Sensors Hardware Overview

The SWIFT coordinate system is transducer-based, with the origin located at the
center of the transducer. Positive loads are defined as applied to the outer ring of
the transducer.
Vertical force (Fz) is positive up.
Longitudinal force (Fx) follows the right-hand rule, consistent with Fz as
described above.
You can change to the MTS Model 329 Road Simulator convention or to any
coordinate system by changing the polarities in the calibration file. For
instructions on how to change the coordinate system polarities, see the chapter,
Setting up the Transducer Interface beginning on page 47.
